Also, practice good posture. Mom always said to sit up straight and keep your shoulders back. She was right because when you have good posture, you exude confidence. When you’re confident, you’re happy and give off good vibes, and that fits right in with the yoga lifestyle.
Help others without expecting anything in return.
You may consider yourself a helpful and giving person. But, when you’re doing good things, do you expect to get something in return? If so, you’re doing them for the wrong reason.
You should do a good deed for the sake of doing it. It’s good karma. A good rule to live by is believing that you get back what you give!
Get a good night’s sleep.
When you listen to your body and give it the rest it needs, it will thank you by giving you good energy and a positive outlook on the day. Those who live a yoga lifestyle know that when you don’t listen to your body and give it rest, your body responds with negative energy which results in a not-so-good day.
If you have trouble sleeping, try winding down at least an hour before bedtime. This means dimming the lights, shutting off your computer or putting away your device, and creating a relaxing atmosphere. You can also try drinking a cup of warm milk or herbal tea. Those usually do the trick!
Be happy with what you have.
People who live a yoga lifestyle are content because they’re not trying to compete with their friends or neighbors. They are happy with what they have, no matter what that might be. When you feel happy with your life and stop comparing yours to the way others live, you will feel calm and at peace.
